Pet Shop was founded by musicians and music fanatics. Hosting live music has always been a crucial part of the goal and focus of this bar. Thus, every Thursday night between 8 and 11 PM, Pet Shop sets up free, "pop up" live music shows in the main floor dining area. Drawing from all over the tri-state area, our selected live music varies from rock and roll to punk rock to indie to hip hop and more. The music we host is always interesting, unique, eclectic, cool and FREE and... ONLY on Thursdays! PS, the cocktail bar in the basement of Pet Shop is also a beloved event space in Jersey City. PS is home to a recurring free Comedy Night, DJ nights and occasional live music. This cozy cocktail bar is also a perfect location for private parties or events.
